Golden Fleece carders, blending boards and brushes will be making their UK debut on the Spinning School stand at The Big Textile Show this weekend. Also on the stand will be the new Ashford Kiwi Superflyer, spinning wheels, looms and accessories as well as local handmade and milled yarns from some of my pupils’ own flocks. You can also test-drive the new blending boards  in the Social Spinning area where you can make your own puni and have a go at our Feely Bag competition – 15 bags of fibre to identify by feel…

The Golden Fleece carders, blending boards, and brushes all have superfine flexible pins (and lots of them!) so are superb for handling fine and luxury fibres such as cashmere and alpaca.  They are also great value for money which is another reason for stocking them – but only secondary – it is the quality and performance that matters most of all. I’m only interested in stocking quality products and fibre. Spinning, weaving and knitting is quality time – often hard-won time in today’s demanding lifestyle – I feel we deserve the best we can get, even my beginner pupils start off on top quality BFLeicester fibre and Ashford Traditional wheels – they deserve the best – we all do. I have been using the Golden Fleece equipment in my spinning classes for some time and am delighted to learn that I am appointed UK distributor of GF Carders as from today.
