Joy is a varident reed. This wall hanging called  ‘Seashore’  by one of my recently bereaved pupils is pure joy. The  colours, textures, fibres are all chosen and woven with complete freedom  – weaving on a Knitters  loom and vari-dent reed gives so much scope- you can weave nearly anything. Anything that doesn’t give me joy and bring me pleasure has no part in my life anymore. Whether it’s people, places or things, if it doesn’t bring me joy or give me pleasure I don’t want to know. There is so much joy an dpleasure in Spinning and Weaving – my Joy wheel is very aptly named.
