Churro Fleece at Fibre East

Churro Fleece at Fibre East. Hand washed, teased  and ready to spin this unique fleece comes direct from the Navajo Indians on the reservation in Arizona and has full traceability –  see previous stories on this page. There will be no fleece at Fibre East quite like this. The latest batch is probably the best quality yet, called Antique grey. There are only four 250gm sacks available and when its gone, its gone. This batch will be on sale on my SpinningSchool stand in the Cotswold tent at Fibre East at £22.50.

Small quantities of  buckskin, chocolate and red mesa are still being processed and  will be available in 100gm batches. The fleece is sourced via ‘Migrations’ and is unique to SpinningSchool and only available due to the good will of friends and spinners who have gone to great lengths to make it available. Buying it through Carol at Migrations is helping improve life for the Navajo women for whom life is still hard.

The women have some lovely sayings which generate a great feeling of mindfulness, and a life lived in the moment; one of my favourites is:  ‘Don’t count your sheep too often or the flock will get smaller.’
