Churro Fleece lady speaks to Gillian

Churro Fleece lady speaks to Gillian:

Hi Pam,

OK, I talked with Carole this am for 40 mins, a very interesting lady! She runs a non profit project to help the Navajo sell their fleece at a sustainable price, because they used to shear and then just leave it to rot because they couldn’t find a market  – it didn’t mean they sold at a loss. She also supports the weavers by marketing limited edition Navajo rugs. She’s big into natural, organic, environmentally sustainable stuff and rare breeds of animals.

She’s going to send me an email with details and I think the best thing would be if you emailed her directly and tell her what you want, colours, quantity etc so that she can get in touch with suppliers and see exactly what’s is available. She does export, but that tends to be spun yarn, and she was telling me about a lady who plays in a classical quartet in Germany who was so taken with the sample she received that buys very rare red churro yarn from her.

If you can come to some kind of agreement, then I could go pick up the fleece in person and get it to you as a gift.

OK have to go and water the garden,

Love Gillian
