I knew Mrs Pole was sitting somewhere but couldn’t find her. Last year she arrived with one chick in tow. Today she arrived with 12! five white, four grey, two brown and one black (I think that’s twelve…) She is so small I would only say she could cover 9 eggs at the most but obviously I don’t know Mrs Pole when she’s broody
