‘Dear Pam, I’s so pleased I ordered the Jacob rug at the Fernie Fair. It has a lovely thick heavy feel about it and will be enjoyed for many years. I put it on the floor in our lounge to show Sarah and our Labrador came in and lay down on it and went to sleep – so approval on all sides, Many thanks, John’ 

The yarn was spun on a traditional Ashford wheel with a jumbo flyer. It is a 2/2 twill weave on a linen warp 5 epi.  It is five feet long and 28 inches wide (image is a bit distorted). Measures 5 five and was woven on my lovely new Ashford 4 shaft loom. I used two Jacob fleece from Eve Newcome-Baker’s flock at Harrington. I hope it gives John as much pleasure to use it as it gave me making it.
